HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT, PAEDIATRIC WARD

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
• Notify nursing leaders of any situations that impact the quality of care.
• Obtain unit report and assignment at the beginning of each shift and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager or Senior Registered Nurse.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds to assess patients’ needs and communicate effectively with them and their families about the patient’s condition and the care required.
• Provide attentive care to infants and young children, and effectively manage challenging situations with them.
• Prepare and tidy patients’ beds and linens as needed, and organize patients’ belongings and furniture.
• Disinfect beds, furniture, and equipment after utilizing them.
• Keep the ward, store, fridge, and its facilities clean and tidy.
