Healthcare Assistant

Priory Hospital Preston is looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join their team.

Role type: Full-time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 7am – 7:30pm and 7pm – 7:30am. Healthcare Assistants will work both days & nights. Weekend work is included.

Pay Rate: £26,300

Based in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital offering an extensive range of services across three wards, supporting adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders.

What you'll be doing

• Provide practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities, ensuring compliance with procedures and healthcare legislation.
• Observe and monitor the wellbeing of patients, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences to senior staff/the primary nurse and documenting as appropriate.
