Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal)

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on heavy‑duty mobile equipment used in aggregate mining, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues.

Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify defects, wear, and safety concerns, ensuring all equipment remains safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Complete field and pit‑site repairs to minimize downtime, including supporting seasonal prep, winterization, and component change‑outs.

Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, inspections, and parts usage while collaborating with supervisors, operators, and trades staff to improve reliability and efficiency.

Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to support a strong safety culture.
