**Green Team of San Jose** , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious **Heavy Truck Technician** to join the team in **San Jose, CA** !
Previous waste experience would be a huge _plus_ !
This will be a Monday - Friday position working Mon-Thurs **2:00pm - 10:30pm** and Friday **12:00pm - 8:30pm** . Some weekday overtime or Saturday work is required.
This is a union position with a pension plan, plus fully paid benefits (medical, dental, vision) for employees + dependents.
**The starting wage is $47.88/hour.** The pay scale for this position is $47.88 - $59.85/hour. The wage is increased to $59.85/hour after 1 year of employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
