This regional medical center, located 1 hour from Asheville and 1 hour 15 minutes to Charlotte, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hematology/Oncology physician.
Opportunity Overview:
* 98% Outpatient practice
* 1:3 Call; Hospitalists facilitate admissions
* All calls are first routed through 24/7 oncology nurse s line
* Never called into hospital
* 8a-5p Monday-Thursday, 1/2-day Friday (8a-12p)
* Caseload 13-15 Patients/day
* 2 PA s on Staff
* 2 Radiation Oncologists
* 2 new linear accelerators
* 24 infusion chairs
* Patient navigators & cancer support groups
* Opportunity for tumor board and cancer committee engagement
* Network with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases
* Option for clinical trials
* Precepting residents available
* Diagnostics Include:
* X-ray, CT
* Ultrasound
* Mammography
* Bone Density
* Nuclear
* Mobile PET & Mamo
* MRI & Breast MRI
