HEMS Fellow - Adult Emergency Department

Overview

We are offering a Fellow position within the Adult Emergency Department (AED) and Prehospital and Retrieval Medicine (PHRM) service at Auckland City Hospital. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term role (1.0 FTE) is split evenly between AED (0.5 FTE) and PHRM (0.5 FTE) clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

As a Fellow you will provide clinical care in the modern, purpose-built AED, working with a multidisciplinary team of FACEMs, medical officers and resident medical officers. You will also support the PHRM service, based in Ardmore, in partnership with Northern Rescue Helicopter Ltd (NRHL), delivering early, safe and timely pre-hospital and patient transport care. You will be involved in patient assessment, resuscitation, ultrasound, toxicology and simulation activities, as well as contributing to research projects.
