Histotech (Evening Shift)

Summary: The Histotechnician performs a variety of routine and complex histological procedures to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist or scientist. This position requires a higher level of skill and independence, with responsibilities including advanced staining techniques, troubleshooting, and participation in quality control activities. (We are currently hiring only for the Evening Shift Per Diem )
 

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue grossing, embedding, and microtomy (FFPE and frozen/OCT sectioning)
• Execute H&E and special stains according to established protocols
• Scan and digitize slides using whole slide imaging systems
• Troubleshoot histology workflows and perform routine equipment maintenance
• Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate documentation in the LIS

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of histology experience
