Hog Loader

Prestage Farms is seeking for a dependable and motivated Hog Loader with the potential to advance into a crew leadership role. This position is responsible for the safe, humane, and efficient loading of hogs for transportation, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare, biosecurity, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have prior livestock handling experience and demonstrate leadership qualities that can grow into supervising a team of loaders.


Responsibilities


+ Supervise the loading of market swine.

+ Open gates and move marked swine to the truck driver and holding area according to instructions.

+ Adjust loading ramp and assist truck driver when backing his or her vehicle.

+ Supervise the cleanup of truck, cutting boards, boots, etc.

+ Responsible for the accountability of daily paperwork.


Requirements


+ Valid Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
