Schedule: Part Time, 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Core Schedule
Variable Days, Every 3rd Weekend.
Job Summary
The Human Milk/Formula Technician position is responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, and management of Human Milk (HM), Donor Human Milk (DHM) and infant/pediatric formulas. Ensures safe feedings for patients in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Essential Functions
+ Interprets physician and Registered Dietitian orders for feeding. Scans all human milk, donor milk and formula additives into EPIC to mix accurate feedings.
+ Utilizes electronic medical record and other software programs.
+ Cleans mixing tools and work area. Monitors stock of supplies and expiration dates.
+ Prepares formula and breastmilk mixtures using aseptic techniques in a clean area. Considers allergens and prevents cross-contamination.
