Join the City of Vancouver as a Human Resource Consultant in a full-time role. Provide strategic HR services to managers and staff while fostering positive labor relations.
This position involves joining a decentralized HR team as a senior consultant. You will address a variety of HR issues, focusing on workforce planning, performance management, and labor relations. In addition to regular HR duties, you will also lead investigations and participate in grievance discussions, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide HR direction and coaching to managers
• Lead investigatory and disciplinary meetings
• Interpret collective agreement provisions accurately
• Foster positive employee and labor relations
• Collaborate with HR teams for strategic initiatives
Requirements:
• University degree or diploma in HR or related field
• Minimum 5 years as a senior HR generalist in a unionized setting
