Opportunity Description
**Amentum** is seeking a **HVAC/R Technician** to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The **HVAC/R Technician** will install, operate, repair, troubleshoot, and accomplish preventive maintenance on small and large refrigeration, air conditioning (A/C) units.
**Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Install, service and repair environmental-control system, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, soldering, braising and structural layout.
+ Recommends solutions to problems in design and fit during installation and repair of HVAC systems, using three phase industrial power; performs field fit work when approved by the customer.
+ Mount compressor and condenser units on designated platforms using hand tools following blueprints or engineering specifications.
