Duty Location: Sacramento, California Responsibilities The Relief Scheduler performs hydro system control operations using centralized control systems to monitor and remotely operate power generating and distribution systems. Work efforts control power production and water releases from hydroelectric generating plants and numerous pumping plants within the Central Valley project (CVP). Calculates water flows; directs necessary revisions to active-day power generation and pumping schedules and changes to future schedules. Monitors and maintains plant system voltage, generation/reservoir levels, and water flows to assure water operations orders and constraints are met. Initiates/revises automatic generation cont...
