ASEM (Advanced Semiconductor Excellence Malaysia) is a national initiative launched in 2023 under the Malaysia IC Design Park, part of the National Semiconductor Strategy led by the Ministry of Economy, Malaysia, with strong support from the Selangor State Government and SIDEC. Focused on driving Malaysia from “Made in Malaysia” to “Made by Malaysia,” ASEM supports local semiconductor innovation in product design, prototyping, and production. Offering resources like Electronic Design Automation tools, intellectual property (IP), and advanced testing equipment, ASEM also hosts talent development programs and strategic partnerships with over 10 global institutions and 25 local universities. Located within the Malaysia IC Park in Cyberjaya, ASEM empowers industry growth through groundbreaking technologies, research, and collaborations with leading global foundries and industry partners.
