Job overview

We’re seeking an enthusiastic colleague with a special interest in anaesthesia to join our critical care directorate, which delivers care across 94 adult ICU beds at three hospitals. All units were rated “Good” by the CQC (2019) and received excellent peer review feedback in 2023.

Each unit admits both elective and emergency level 2 and 3 patients, but has distinct character:

·St Mary’s – Major Trauma & Quaternary Vascular Centre

·Charing Cross – Regional Stroke & Neurosurgical Centre

·Hammersmith – Cardiac, Renal & Haematology Centre

This diverse clinical mix supports innovation and collaborative, multidisciplinary care.

As one of the UK’s largest acute teaching Trusts, we offer extensive opportunities for career development. Academic clinicians are encouraged to lead multicentre research alongside our renowned department headed by Prof A. Gordon.
