Immigration Trainee Paralegal – East London

We are an established law firm with offices based in East London, recruiting for the position of Trainee Paralegal. We are currently seeking a hardworking candidate to assist an immigration lawyer at our East London branch. The candidate will work closely and exclusively with our Head of Department, having the opportunity to learn about immigration and civil law in practice.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Department
• Liaise with clients and take notes
• Observe client meetings
• Assist with casework in immigration law
• Review correspondence and prepare letters
• Identify key dates in court documents
• Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying and file maintenance
• Assist with new client enquiries
• Conduct legal research and make applications
