Opportunity Description
Become an Inpatient Acute Care Hospitalist at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, where you will enhance patient care through your clinical expertise. Work within a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for hospital in-patients.
This hospitalist role focuses on delivering high-quality care for designated in-patients, including managing complex cases alongside specialist colleagues. You are expected to participate in 24/7 hospital coverage while ensuring smooth communication within the care team. Mentoring medical trainees will be a key part of your contributions, further developing acute-care skills in the future workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide MRP coverage for designated in-patients
• Collaborate with specialists for concurrent care
• Lead case conferences for multi-morbidity patients
• Ensure effective patient discharge planning
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively
