This opportunity entails being responsible for performing daily field inspections of New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) infrastructure projects to ensure contractor work complies with project plans and specifications. The role includes monitoring construction activities related to water main, sewer, roadway, and sidewalk construction performed by the contractor. The Inspector documents field conditions, verifies construction methods and materials, and reports progress to ensure adherence to standards established by the NYC DEP, NYC DOT, and NYC DDC.
