Role and Facility Information

The Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Department of Medicine is looking for a clinical General Internist. The role involves providing inpatient coverage for the Clinical Teaching Unit, General Internal Medicine consultations for other departments, and outpatient coverage for the Internal Medicine Outpatient clinic.

The successful candidate will be part of the GIM group practice and will provide services as determined by the needs of the clinical group. Responsibilities include coverage of inpatient services, RCH outpatient clinic, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, participation in educational and administrative activities, and providing call coverage as needed.

This position offers the opportunity to practice at a tertiary care academic centre and to contribute to teaching and clinical leadership within the program. The Internist will participate in Journal Clubs, rounds and other academic endeavours.
