Post‑doctoral Researcher – Pluripotency for Organ Regeneration Group
Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Post‑doctoral Researcher to conduct training in the project COMPLEXORG whose main objective is to develop human organoid models to study genetic and systemic conditions during Congenital Anomalies Of The Kidney And Urinary Tract.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Development of renal, cardiac and neural derivatives from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) in 2D and 3D cell culture settings making use of engineering approaches to define controlled microenvironments.
- Development of patient‑CAKUT hPSCs to model and study disease mechanisms.
- Development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative assays to monitor molecular and metabolic changes, as well as cell‑cell interactions during organoid development in 2D and 3D cell culture settings.
