IT Project Manager

Summary The incumbent functions as an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager to plan and carry out projects for the development of IT solutions to support NIH. Responsibilities Serves as a Project Manager with responsibility for the planning, management, and oversight of major IT projects and contracts involving the development and implementation of IT solutions. Ensures IT projects and contracts are integrated within the overall program IT requirements, schedule, budget, and reporting mechanisms; remain on time and within budget constraints; and meet high IT quality standards in terms of both development and non-development portions of projects. Implements new IT policy and program initiatives such as promoting the adoption of IT best practices from government and industry and the standardization of operational methods and practices to ensure the timely and effective implementation of new initiatives.
