Reporting to the Mental Health Lead, this position will actively monitor student attendance in North Bay and surrounding area schools.

North Region: North Bay and Surrounding Communities including Sturgeon Falls and Mattawa

Qualifications

• 3 year Community College Diploma and/or University Degree as a Social Worker and/or Social Service Worker or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Conversant with pertinent acts and regulations which impact on the role of the Attendance Counsellor
• Capable of interpreting laws, policies and procedures as it relates to student attendance
• Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
