Accountant

Description We are looking for an Accountant to join a growing team in Winchester, Kentucky in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent position. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoice activity, and collaborating with vendors and internal partners to keep payables running smoothly. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to month-end accounting activities, strengthen process efficiency, and support day-to-day financial operations with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices, assign correct accounting codes, and record transactions promptly to maintain accurate payables data.
• Compare invoices against purchasing and receiving documentation to confirm that billed items align with approved orders and delivered goods.
• Reconcile accounts payable activity with general ledger balances and investigate any inconsistencies to ensure financial accuracy.
