Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support high-volume accounting operations in Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong reconciliation expertise, solid general ledger knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities. The role requires a hands-on contributor who can manage day-to-day accounting tasks while also recognizing opportunities to strengthen processes and improve accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support general ledger activities by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accounting entries and related documentation.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing activities with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
