Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support a machinery manufacturing organization in Sacramento, California. This Contract position will partner closely with accounting leadership to manage receivables activity, keep customer accounts accurate, and help maintain steady cash flow. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in high-volume accounting environments, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee customer receivable records to keep account aging accurate, apply credits appropriately, and clear outstanding balance variances in a timely manner.
• Review incoming payments and post cash applications accurately to customer accounts while maintaining complete supporting documentation.
• Investigate short pays, unapplied cash, and billing issues, then coordinate corrections and account adjustments as needed.
