Job Purpose
The University of Scranton’s Department of Health and Human Performance has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester in the fields of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Public Health. Adjunct faculty may instruct one or more courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. A particular need is common in Nutrition and Public Health. Essential Duties Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades. Additional Skills Required Certifications in a field relevant to the course, if applicable.For nutrition courses, applicants must have a current registration and maintain a current status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, along with being an active member in good standing with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
