Advanced Practice Nurse - CORHLT
The Harris Health System Advanced Practice Nurse - Correctional Health (APN- CH) functions as a clinical provider to socially marginalized patients under the jurisdiction of the justice system. The APN-CH evaluates, plans and provides care to patients in consultation with and under the direct supervision of the attending physician and serves as a clinical leader responsible for facilitating quality patient care in collaboration with pavilion leaders, nursing staff, and other disciplines. The APN-CH provides both programmatic and individually-delegated patient care. The APN-CH serves as a clinical expert and consultant to support the healthcare system in providing patient-centered, culturally-competent, outcome- focused therapeutic care within the management of specified populations through independent and collaborative clinical management.
