Amazing Athletes Afterschool Cooking Instructor

We are seeking a Cooking Instructor for our afterschool program at PS166! This position offers a chance to spark curiosity and creativity in the kitchen while introducing Kindergarten through 5th grade students to the basics of cooking, food science, and nutrition. We’re looking for someone who can create a safe and engaging environment where students can explore new ingredients, follow recipes, and proudly share their creations with loved ones.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Teach age-appropriate cooking lessons that emphasize fun, safety, and basic culinary skills.- Plan and lead engaging recipes that introduce students to new foods, cultures, and kitchen tools.- Manage and prepare ingredients and materials in advance of each class session.- Guide students through hands-on activities like mixing, measuring, chopping (safely!), and decorating.- Help students create simple, take-home recipes or edible projects they can share with their families.- Collaborate w...
