Job Summary: Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Job Responsibilities: -Prepares patients for exam using appropriate body mechanics. -Identifies proper exams based on patient need and utilizes correct exam techniques. -Produces quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment/instrumentation. -Follows proper patient identification protocols. -Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage. -Maintains work area and stocks needed supplies. -Transports patients as needed. -Develops specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques. -At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis. -Understands and applies principles of x-r...
