We are looking for an Assistant Accounts Payable Clerk for a position located in Chesapeake, Virginia. This position supports day-to-day payment operations by helping ensure invoices are handled accurately, vendors receive timely responses, and financial records remain organized. • Enter and classify supplier invoices in the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Compare purchase orders, invoices, and receipt records to confirm transactions are complete and properly supported.
• Assist with preparing scheduled payments, including checks, electronic payments, and wire activity, in accordance with internal procedures.
