Athletic Throws Development Coach

IIS is seeking a High-Performance Throws Coach to lead the development of athletes in shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer within the Indian high-performance pathway.

The coach will work with both male and female athletes, progressing talent from U20 and national level to Asian and World-class performance, in close collaboration with the Head Coach Athletics (IIS) and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Athlete Development

- Deliver high-performance coaching across throwing events

- Develop individualized training approaches based on athlete profile

- Progress athletes from junior to international level

- Provide clear, actionable feedback in training and competition

Performance Development

- Improve key metrics such as release velocity, efficiency, and consistency

- Integrate strength, speed, and power into throwing performance
