Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the B-Plate Operator is key in assisting with meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required.


Responsibilities
+ The B-Plate Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices.
+ Set up the designated B-Plate Mill by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication.
+ Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.
+ Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
