Beam Dynamics Scientist

CELLS is looking for a scientist to be incorporated in the Beam Dynamics Group of ALBA, in the Accelerator Division.

Location: Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain).

Key functions

• Take part in the beam dynamics design and simulations of the ALBA accelerators, including the new multi‑bend achromat ultra‑low emittance storage ring, ALBA II.
• Extensive physics studies and numerical simulations for accelerators lattice optimizations.
• Particle tracking and simulations studies, both for linear lattice design and for dynamic aperture and lifetime optimizations.
• Use of accelerator codes such as AT, MADX and Elegant. <...
