Opportunity Description
The Role
The CRG Bioinformatics Unit is seeking a Bioinformatician to implement, benchmark, and maintain robust, reproducible, and scalable bioinformatics workflows for the analysis of long‑read sequencing data. You will contribute to the development and application of long‑read approaches for the study of human genome variation and somatic genomic alterations in cancer, as well as to the characterisation of epigenomes and transcriptomes using these technologies. These efforts will further strengthen the CRG’s long‑read data analysis capabilities, in line with the increasing availability of long‑read sequencing technologies such as the PacBio and the Oxford Nanopore at the institute. You will work in close collaboration with the Rodriguez‑Martin team, supporting activities related to data management, code development, and genomic data analysis. In addition, you will contribute to the funded project “The impact of highly mutagenic LINE‑1 repeats on cancer predisposition”...
