Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a nonprofit organization in New York, New York on a part-time, contract-to-permanent basis. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting activity, and helping the organization meet reporting and compliance obligations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with both internal stakeholders and outside service providers in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by managing routine bookkeeping tasks and recording day-to-day accounting activity.
• Process outgoing payments and support a variety of financial transactions with close attention to accuracy and timeliness.
