Opportunity Description
WGNO-TV in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a talented individual to support all live Broadcast and Postproduction/Editing equipment and critical IT systems in a digital television facility. The ideal candidate for our Broadcast Engineer/IT Specialist position must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure and be solution-oriented. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a critical component of this role.
Duties & Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
+ Maintains all broadcast technology and equipment for the station
+ Installs and tests new systems and technical infrastructure for the station
+ Minimizes service interruptions at times of equipment and/or system failure by rapidly identifying and implementing solutions
+ Sets up and operates equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts
+ Installs and maintains the IT network, switches, data backups...
