Main purpose of the job

To manage the overall maintenance and logistics of CUT Infrastructure, facilities and assets at Bloemfontein and Welkom Campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develop appropriate policies and procedures for the facility management unit
• Manage and monitor buildings and facilities management
• Manage and monitor health and safety compliance for the unit
• Manage and monitor projects
• Manage and monitor suppliers and sub-contractors
• Manage the performance and development of staff
• Provide input into the development of a budget for the section
• Provide reports
• Represent the unit internally at different forums
