CAPS Peer Coach (Student Position)

Summary of Position:

A Peer Coach is a student guide for new students at Ferris State University. Peer Engagement Coaches communicate regularly with students through texts, emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings to provide guidance, encouragement, and important campus information. In addition to one-on-one support, coaches promote campus resources and events, facilitate study tables and first-year programs, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment for new students. Position Requirements:
-Be an active and engaged student leader who participates on campus
-Be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
-Be available to commit from approximately August 1 through May 5
-Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
