Opportunity Description
The Chip Box Operator is responsible for operating a chip box or aggregate spreader during road maintenance and chip seal projects. This role helps ensure materials are spread evenly and safely to support high‑quality paving work.
Job Responsibilities
+ Safely operate the chip box or aggregate spreader
+ Perform pre‑operation equipment checks
+ Load, unload, and monitor aggregate materials
+ Spread materials evenly according to project requirements
+ Adjust equipment settings to control material application
+ Inspect work for proper coverage and quality
+ Communicate with crew members to coordinate work
+ Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE
+ Report safety concerns or equipment issues immediately
+ Perform basic maintenance and clean equipment after use
+ Keep the work area clean and organized
