Civil Engineer
Reporting: Technical Manager
TASKS – ACTIVITIES – RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Carry out General and Principal Inspections for trunk road bridges (comprising steel, concrete and masonry), retaining walls and high mast lights. Perform inspection on projects requiring expertise and knowledge in multiple areas of construction inspection. Has experience and proficiency in multiple areas of field testing and inspection and or laboratory testing. Read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications. To perform assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
