Opportunity Description
Job Title: Civil Engineer
We are looking for a Civil Engineer with around 3 - 5 years of experience to join the Mining Infrastructure Department of a consulting engineering firm's Johannesburg office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design of mine infrastructure from concept layouts to detailed design
- Design of bulk earthworks, terraces, roads, etc.
- Hydrological runoff calculation and water balance modeling
- Water management infrastructure design including dams and canals
- Mine waste disposal facilities and tailings facilities
- Compilation of reports
- Compilation of tender documents, including scope of work, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Data analysis, processing, and interpretation
- Site visits and investigations, including geotechnical investigations
