Duties

/Skills/Requirements This position provides experience in mentoring, outreach, student engagement, and supporting college readiness initiatives.As a Peer Mentor, you will help high school students successfully transition into college coursework and navigate their dual credit experience.Additional Skills:

Assist with helping and guiding students to campus resources

Familiarity in navigating Canvas, MVConnect, student email, and other campus technology

Mentoring skills

Assist with event planning

Outreach assistance

Customer service

Collaboration with staff

The student hired for this position should:

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Be comfortable working with high school students, families, and college staff in both individual and group settings
