About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist / Responsible Clinician will be authorised as Responsible Clinician (RC) by the Director of Area Mental Health Services (DAMHS) for a specified group of people in service who meet criteria as per specific stages of their care and treatment.
A key function of this role is to provide specialist nursing knowledge and skills to provide tāngata whaiora focused care and coordination through the role of Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, that will optimise the tāngata whaiora journey, improve health outcomes and ensure that an excellent quality of care is provided.
