Responsibilities
A Construction Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to on a construction site. This role involves monitoring and enforcing health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that workers are aware of and comply with safety measures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or certification in occupational health and safety is preferred.
- Certification in Construction Safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour Construction, Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), etc.).
- Proven experience in a safety role within the construction industry (3-5 years preferred).
