Data Center Technician (Cable Tech)

Data Center Technician – Fiber Infrastructure & IDF Buildouts
Location: Mesa, AZ
Department: Data Center Operations / Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

+ Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode) and copper cabling (Cat6/Cat6a)

+ Perform full IDF closet buildouts , including:

+ Rack and cabinet installation

+ Horizontal and vertical cable management

+ Patch panel installation and labeling


+ Conduct rack and stack of network and server equipment

+ Install and connect fiber distribution panels (FDPs), patch panels, and cross-connects

Required Qualifications

+ 1–3+ years of experience in data center, structured cabling, or network infrastructure

+ Hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and termination

+ Knowledge of IDF/MDF design and structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
