Data Engineer / Backend Platform Engineer for a leading retail company. Design scalable data pipelines and APIs to power analytics, decision‑making, and product insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines with a focus on CDC ingestion using Oracle GoldenGate.
- Build and maintain GraphQL and REST APIs for data access.
- Configure, administer, and optimize database systems (SQL & NoSQL).
- Implement and manage data workflows using Airflow and Snowflake.
- Develop dashboards and business intelligence visualizations with Superset, Looker or HEX and Tableau.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to transform raw production data into actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with API development (GraphQL and REST).
- Deep understanding of database design and optimization for SQL and NoSQL systems.
