Designated Safeguarding Lead:

Location: Manchester (M12)

Pay: £150-£200 per day, depending on experience

Start date: 20/04/2026

Contract: Full-Time, Long Term

Prospero Teaching are recruiting a Designated Safeguarding Lead to work at a Pupil Referral Unit based in Longsight, Manchester.

As a DSL, you will:

Be the first point of contact with regards to safeguarding matters in the school

Providing pastoral support for vulnerable young people and their families

Attendance and reporting in an array of meetings: Emergency Strategy, Core Group, Initial Child Protection Conferences, Child In Need, Early Help, Team Around the Child/Family

Sharing of information with appropriate services – adhering to GDPR

Monitor attendance of pupils and provide support/guidance to those who are struggling and at risk of becoming NEE...
