Digital Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Digital Engineer in San Diego, CA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and test VHDL-based digital designs, primarily supporting software-defined radio firmware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work within structured development environments to deliver high-performance solutions.

Required Skills

• BS degree with 5 years of experience in a related STEM field; or MS degree with 3 years of experience


• Significant hands-on experience with VHDL design


• Working knowledge of formal engineering development processes, VHDL design, and verification


• Ability to analyze system concepts, requirements, and design documents to resolve performance or timing issues


• Strong written and verbal communication skills
