Echocardiograph Technologist - per diem

**Description**



The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, under the direction of the Department Director and Manager is expected to work independently performing a variety of echocardiography procedures for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist will independently perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) on adult, children and neonatal patients and prepare a preliminary echo report for review by the interpreting Physician or LIP. Stress echocardiograms, both pharmacologic and exercise, will be performed by the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist with the assistance of a qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner, Cardiologist or other Licensed Independent Practitioner specialized in Cardiology. The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist is also responsible for acquiring Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) images on under the direct supervision of a cardiac cardiologist, qualified anesthesiologist or cardiac surgeon.
