ECT - Psychology Graduate

Are you a Psychology graduate with QTS looking to begin your ECT year in a Gateshead school that genuinely prioritises behaviour, wellbeing, and structured mentoring?

We are working directly with a well-established two-form entry primary school in Gateshead with approximately 375 pupils on roll. The school serves a diverse local community and has invested heavily in its pastoral systems over the last three years. Behaviour across the school is calm and consistent, with clear expectations displayed in every classroom. The SENCO and pastoral lead are both highly experienced and actively involved in supporting staff — particularly Early Career Teachers.

The school is seeking an ECT to take responsibility for a Year 4 class. This would begin on a supported basis, with reduced additional responsibilities, and the intention to review for a permanent full-time role following a successful induction period.
