The Opportunity

Nambour General Hospital is a friendly acute teaching hospital, affiliated with the University of Queensland. The hospital has 39 beds including a 1-bedded ICU and a 1-bedded CCU/HDU, and a 9-cotted SCBU. All major specialties are represented apart from neurosurgery and cardiac surgery. ICU, theatres and the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) were moved to a new purpose-built block in 22. DEM is staffed by eight emergency physicians, sees 32 patients each year with a high trauma load, and receives patients from a helicopter critical care transport service.

Seeking a locum PHO / Reg level for the Emergency Department, this is a 24 hour roster, 7 days per week. Includes night shifts.
